There is a growing interest nowadays in the subject of social responsibility in the corporate as well as in the academic environment. However, very few studies focus on the teaching of Social Responsibility in our country. Therefore, this article has the goal of stating and discussing how the students of private Administration Universities in our country understand the Social Responsibility concept. For this purpose, some qualitative research was conducted with 118 Administration students of a private Brazilian University. The students were asked to
write a small text answering the following question: What do you understand as corporate social responsibility? Using the Content Analysis Technique, it can be concluded that the students privilege only some aspects of what Social responsibility. Finally, some observations
are presented in order to promote a wide (re)discussion which aims at the development of a more socially responsible attitude in the administration students.
