In the field of classic epistemology, the aim of the method was to know the truth. The dialogue between the real and the idea - the classical concept of truth – was changed, in contemporary times, to the effort to build a model that represents or explains reality. It is impossible to know the reality; we only know experience. As a philosophical point of view, knowledge is a probability – not a certainty. However, a tendency for religious, philosophical or scientific dogmas to set in have been observed in professional and academic mediums for Management and other fields of knowledge. Reviewing selected methods, this article provides an interpretation of them from an existential methodology, one that takes into account the fact that the scientist is also an object of and involved in the event. It proposes a methodology that makes the method of doubt a constant exercise in search for truth, allowing the construction of open systems without losing the advantages of systematic knowledge organization. The results confirmed the benefits of teamwork over individual work and recommended the exercise of professional activities and teaching in pairs or groups that permit ongoing evaluation of procedures undertaken.Downloads
