APPRENTICESHIP TEACHING: EPISTEMOLOGICAL CONCEPTS AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON TEACHING METHODS

This paper aims to preliminarily identify the epistemological foundations of the teaching methodologies adopted and created by business administration Master’s students. This is a qualitative study with the primary data collected using semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was used for data processing. The results show that the apprenticeship tutor professors participate actively and satisfactorily during the classroom activities. The teaching
planning stage for the respective apprenticeship disciplines polarized teachers, with the majority adopting lectures and traditional teaching methods. The paper concludes that an empirical, epistemological approach is prevalent in teaching apprenticeships.
