The objective of this work is to analyze the determinants of the management of undergraduate students' personal finances and propose a logical structuring of a financial application (App) for mobile phones with an easy-to-use visual and format, maintaining the technical requirements for the control and planning of personal finance, based on accounting-financial concepts. As for the methodological aspects, it adopted a quantitative approach to select and reduce the relevant factors of financial management, in the structural equation model. The collection took place in the period before the closing of the face-to-face classes in 2020, with the sending of questionnaires to the undergraduate students of the administration and accounting sciences courses and other areas, at the State University of the Midwest of Paraná, with a return of 300 valid responses. After developing the analysis steps, the structuring phase for programming a financial application began. As a strong point of the work, the immersion of students in the stages of research and development of the proposal stands out, making it possible to understand the processes of personal financial management, from the reality of those surveyed. In future works, there is the possibility of it becoming an instrument for educational use in university and pre-university environments.
