This study analyzes the evidence of the effects of psychological capital on learning motivation and study engagement. The research provides empirical evidence that contributes to the results identified in the literature on the effects of psychological capital on engagement in studies and motivation for learning. A survey was carried out with undergraduate accounting students, in which 190 valid responses were obtained. The structural equation modeling technique was applied in order to test the study's theoretical relationships. The results show a positive and significant relationship between students' psychological capital, learning motivation and study engagement. It also suggests that learning motivation enhances the relationship between students' psychological capital and their engagement with their studies. These results have implications for the learning process of Accounting students, demonstrating the importance of promoting positive psychological factors for students to achieve satisfactory academic results. It also advances the literature on the effects of students' psychological capital as a predictor of academic learning.
