To think about teaching and learning process in the context of Education 4.0 is a challenge given the growing presence of digital information and communication technologies (DICTs) in classrooms. The issue is that many times teachers are compelled to adopt a series of technologies without a structured process or to face the inexistence or inefficiency of continuous improvement programs with focus on the technological aspect, but not on the educational aspect. Therefore, this work presents an experience report on the Uncomplicated Educational Design course, provided to business school teachers with the objective of helping in the creation, development and evaluation of face-to-face classes with the support of Moodle. As a result, teachers considered the course favourable, involving and relevant to the practice, however they suggested adjusting the time allocated to the development of activities, as they believed it to be short in view of the complexity involved. The facts presented in this report bring important implications for those involved in the process of teacher’s continuing development, showing that by incorporating knowledge about educational design, with emphasis on the ADDIE model, the process contributed to increase confidence in the adoption of DICTs, with positive effects in teaching practice.
